Back in the day your mastering engineer would take all your individual finished mastered tracks and compile them onto a physical CD master to send to the duplication plant to make your lovely run of CDs.
This master CD would also contain data including the name of track /artist etc (see below for the information you need to gather for this stage)
DDP (digital description protocol) is now the standard digital version of this.
you will need to give your mastering engineer or the person supplying the DDP
1 The individual mastered tracks
2 Any special info about length of gaps between the songs
3 Album Title
4 Tracklist/Track Names
5 Performer/Artist Name, Songwriter Name, Composer Name, Arranger Name
(possibly all the same person)
6 Individual Track ISRC Codes
7 Album UPC Code
How do I hear /check my DDP before sending it to the duplicators ?
Cleverly the DDP comes with an embedded player so when you download it to your computer you can click and experience your cd.
